Remote Civil Engineer

Our client is seeking a skilled and motivated Remote Civil Engineer to join their dynamic team, contributing to a variety of infrastructure projects from the comfort of your home office. You will be responsible for designing, developing, and managing civil engineering projects, ensuring they meet all technical specifications, safety standards, and regulatory requirements. This position requires an individual who can work autonomously, collaborate effectively with a geographically dispersed team through digital channels, and apply innovative engineering solutions to complex challenges.

You will be instrumental in shaping infrastructure development, focusing on sustainability and efficiency, with a direct impact on projects across various locations, including support for initiatives in the Western Cape .

• Design and develop plans, drawings, and specifications for civil engineering projects, utilizing CAD software.
• Conduct site analysis, feasibility studies, and impact assessments for proposed developments.
• Collaborate with architects, project managers, and other engineers remotely to ensure project integration.
• Prepare technical reports, documentation, and cost estimates for project proposals and execution.
• Ensure compliance with relevant engineering standards, building codes, and environmental regulations.
• Provide technical guidance and support to construction teams and stakeholders throughout the project lifecycle.

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or a related field.
• Professional Engineer (Pr Eng) registration or eligibility for registration.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in civil engineering design and project management.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD , Civil 3D, or similar design software.
• Strong understanding of structural analysis, soil mechanics, and hydraulic principles.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills for effective remote collaboration.
