Accounts Payable Clerk

About the Role

We are recruiting for an Accounts Payable Clerk to join our Finance team based in our Customer Support Centre in Walsall. After a probationary period, the role offers flexibility to work from home one day per week.

Salary: £25,656 plus benefits

Contract Type: Full Time

Working Pattern: Permanent

Hours: 40.0 hours per week

Key responsibilities will include:

• Reconciling invoices to booking in sheets, liaising with internal stakeholders to resolve price discrepancies.
• Resolving supplier queries and invoices.
• Issuing debit notes where required and following them through to resolution.
• Monthly reconciliation of supplier statements.
• Ensuring that any correspondence relating to overdue accounts is actioned and resolved.

Skills and knowledge required:

• A minimum of 12 months in an accounts payable role from within a fast‑paced environment.
• Experience of using a finance system; a working knowledge of Oracle is highly desirable.
• A detailed understanding of accounts payable processes and controls.
• Strong experience of Excel.
