Squerryes Estate is looking for an experienced Estate Accountant to take ownership of finance across a diverse, multi-entity estate business covering hospitality, wine, property, farming and events.

This is a hands‑on, senior role reporting directly to the Managing Director, replacing the current Finance Lead and playing a key role in the Estate’s financial control and long‑term planning.

You’ll be responsible for day‑to‑day and strategic finance across all Squerryes entities, producing clear, accurate reporting and providing commercial insight to support decision‑making.

• Full responsibility for accounting across multiple entities
• Statutory accounts and liaison with external accountants
• VAT returns (including partial exemption)
• Monthly management accounts with commentary and analysis
• Budgeting, forecasting and cashflow planning
• Oversight of stock, EPOS, supplier payments and payroll data
• Financial management of residential and commercial property
• Improving systems, controls and reporting processes

• Fully qualified accountant (ACA / ACCA / CIMA)
• Experience in multi-entity, operational businesses
• Strong technical and commercial mindset
• Property finance experience essential
• Confident, organised and hands‑on

£45,000+ depending on experience (pro‑rata if part‑time)

Predominantly office‑based in Westerham; ad‑hoc home working available; oversight of a small finance team.
