Location: Fully remote

Salary: £30,000 £ 35,000

An excellent opportunity has now arisen for an Accounts Assistant to join our client s successful finance team. This is a fully remote role, offering the chance to work within a supportive, close-knit business that genuinely values its people.

Duties of an Accounts Assistant:

  • Maintaining daily cashbooks and monitoring cash positions

  • Reconciling bank accounts and resolving discrepancies promptly

  • Processing supplier invoices and customer billing accurately

  • Managing payment runs and supporting credit control activities

  • Reviewing and processing employee expense claims in line with company policy

  • Ensuring compliance with internal controls and statutory requirements

  • Assisting with month-end close activities, including journals and reconciliations

  • Supporting audit preparation by providing schedules and documentation

  • Preparing accurate financial reports for clients and external stakeholders

  • Maintaining awareness of quality policies and procedures, ensuring full compliance

  • Supporting colleagues as required, including holiday cover

  • Handling and resolving finance-related queries efficiently and professionally

What we would like from you:

  • Strong attention to detail with a high level of accuracy

  • Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Excel

  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines

  • Clear and professional communication skills

  • Strong problem-solving ability with a proactive approach

  • Good understanding of financial policies, controls and regulatory requirements
