DB Transfer Specialist, Technical Paraplanner

A new job vacancy has become available with our forward-thinking Wealth Manager based in Glasgow. Due to growth and increasing demands, they require an additional Paraplanner with a strong knowledge of Defined Benefit Schemes/Pensions Transfers; however, they could consider a senior paraplanner without this expertise.

The company has strengthened over the past few years and has a prestigious reputation within the advice market, particularly in transfers. They are seeking additional support in this team. Part home-based working can also be considered.

Working within a close-knit yet diverse environment, you would collaborate closely with the head of department to ensure smooth handling of client demands, given the complexity of tasks involved. You will gain excellent exposure, shadowing industry experts, and are encouraged to undertake further exams and develop towards chartered status if desired.

The role involves gathering relevant scheme information, conducting analysis, and preparing documentation for review by the PTS.

A prerequisite for suitable applicants is experience with Final Salary Transfers—analyzing, report writing, and research. A background within an adviser's support role is preferred. Experience with TVAs and Cashflow modelling would be advantageous but is not essential. Candidates must have AF3 or AwPetr qualifications, ideally.
