Interim Senior Financial Analyst, FP&A

Our client, a technology-enabled consumer services company, is seeking an Interim Senior Financial Analyst to provide FP&A support across its product and technology functions during a temporary leave period.

This role is fully remote; however, availability during Pacific Time business hours is preferred. This role is anticipated to last six months, including an initial period of overlap and cross-training.

Responsibilities:

• Manage monthly forecasting activities and refresh financial projections based on current business trends
• Perform budget-to-actual and forecast-to-actual variance analyses, identifying and explaining key performance drivers
• Partner with Accounting during the monthly close to reconcile financial results and address reporting discrepancies
• Prepare management reporting packages and executive-ready presentations for functional leadership
• Serve as a finance partner to product, technology, procurement, and other cross-functional stakeholders
• Develop and maintain dashboards and analyses covering travel, expenses, vendors, and other operating costs
• Analyze large datasets and provide clear financial insights that support spending and resource-allocation decisions
• Support ad hoc analyses, process improvements, and other strategic finance initiatives as needed

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field
• 3–5 years of experience in FP&A, corporate finance, strategic finance, or a related analytical function
• Strong experience with forecasting, variance analysis, financial modeling, management reporting, and month-end close support
• Advanced Excel or Google Sheets skills, with experience using enterprise planning, ERP, and reporting tools
• Excellent communication and business-partnering skills, including the ability to develop management-ready presentations and translate financial data into actionable insights
