Emergency Preparedness, Resilience, and Response (EPRR) Officer

This is a full-time hybrid role located in Merthyr Tydfil. The role involves developing, implementing, and maintaining emergency preparedness plans to ensure business continuity and public safety. Responsibilities include coordinating training programs, conducting risk assessments, supporting emergency exercises, and ensuring compliance with regulations and standards. The role requires frequent collaboration with internal teams and external stakeholders to safeguard organizational resilience. Hybrid work is supported, with a combination of on-site presence in Merthyr Tydfil and remote work.

• Strong knowledge of emergency preparedness, risk management, and business continuity procedures
• Proficiency in developing, implementing, and reviewing emergency response protocols and plans
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills with the ability to liaise effectively with diverse teams and stakeholders
• Experience in organizing and delivering training sessions, as well as planning and conducting emergency exercises
• Critical thinking, problem-solving abilities, and attention to detail in high-pressure situations
• Proficiency with IT tools used for document preparation and communication
• Knowledge or experience in NHS guidelines, public sector emergency planning, or healthcare emergency preparedness is advantageous
• Relevant professional qualifications or certifications in Emergency Planning, Risk Management, or related fields are desirable
