Olympus invites you to join our Infection Prevention (IP) team in the Netherlands as an Application & Sales Specialist, where you will make a meaningful impact by training healthcare professionals and supporting the adoption of our endoscope portfolio.

In this role, you will play a crucial part in helping hospitals prevent infections and ensure patient safety, making your work directly significant for both healthcare professionals and patients.

Your responsibilities
  • Who we are looking for

    As an Application & Sales Specialist, your main focus will be on delivering in-person trainings that educate and inspire customers. You will be part of our IP team helping hospitals and clinics understand the value of Olympus products, adhere to best practices, and ensure safe and effective cleaning and disinfection of endoscopes. If you enjoy presenting, are confident in engaging audiences, and have a social-commercial mindset, this role is a great fit.

    Hospital experience is a plus, but your ability to communicate effectively and train others is the priority.

    What you’ll do
    • Execute sales strategies to expand market share for our disinfection solutions across the country.
    • Serve as the key point of contact and build strong relationships with CSSD/Endoscopy departments and procurement.
    • Provide on-site support before installation, during implementation, and after installation to ensure a smooth setup and operation.
    • Record sales activities, progress and customer interactions using CRM tools.
    • Visit hospitals and private clinics to identify customer needs and offer tailored solutions that ensure compliance with national standards and infection‑prevention guidelines.
    • Train end‑users for safe and effective endoscope reprocessing, ensuring adherence to guidelines.
    • Lead and participate in in‑person training sessions for the Olympus IP portfolio.
    • Support the IP business by driving market intelligence through product introductions, market analysis, and monitoring of guidelines and competitor activities.
    • Take full responsibility for managing tenders in the Netherlands and ensure timely communication and deadlines.
    • Support promotional activities for the IP portfolio through events and sales initiatives.
  • What we are looking for
    • Proven experience delivering engaging trainings to diverse customer groups, especially in‑person.
    • Hospital experience and/or microbiology knowledge is a plus. IT knowledge is also an advantage.
    • Social‑commercial mindset: able to demonstrate value, influence adoption, and engage customers convincingly.
    • Strong presentation and communication skills in Dutch and English.
    • Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with a team.
    • Motivated, adaptable, and resilient with a flexible approach to varying working environments.
    • Willingness to travel within the Netherlands and a valid driver’s license.
    • Easy to connect with, curious, dependable, and comfortable managing small projects or tasks independently.
