Camphill Community Glencraig is recruiting a support worker to work with young adults with complex needs within our Adult Day Services. The role involves providing physical, psychological and social support, facilitating meaningful daily activities, promoting independence, and managing challenging behaviours when necessary.

Key Responsibilities

Support the team to deliver a high standard of care, assist with personal care, provide redirection or physical intervention as a last resort, and help young adults pursue a valued lifestyle.

Essential Criteria
  • QCF Level 2 or equivalent in Health and Social Care or related discipline (waived if 1 year relevant experience).
  • GCSE in English and Maths Grade C or above, or Essential Skills in Numeracy and Literacy at Level 2.
  • Registered or willing to register with the N. Ireland Social Care Council.
  • At least six months experience in caring and/or educational support or 1 year relevant experience.
Desirable Criteria
  • Qualification in Health & Social Care, Social Sciences or equivalent (Level 3+).
  • Experience in education or health and social care setting.
  • Experience working with individuals with a disability.
  • Experience dealing with challenging behaviour.

Salary and Hours

Salary: 3‑point scale, commencing on £12.60 per hour, increasing with length of service.

Hours of Work: 35 hours per week, Monday to Friday 8.30am‑3.30pm. Additional hours may be available in onsite adult residential homes.

Contract: Permanent.
Closing date: 4pm, Friday 2nd January 2026.
