Overview
Senior Booking Co-ordinator role at Royal United Hospitals Bath NHS Foundation Trust. This is a full-time post at 37.5 hours per week (9-5). Part-time hours will also be considered. The post can be worked flexibly with onsite and home working after training. This is a fast-paced role requiring attention to detail and a calm, empathetic approach; full support and training is provided.
There is always something different to learn, and the role involves working with clinicians and patients to ensure treatment is scheduled within target times.
Main dutiesTo provide a full and comprehensive service to ensure all elective patients are admitted efficiently for surgery within national guidelines and in accordance with the Trust’s Patient Access Policy. This will require the post holder to effectively make comprehensive decisions with regards to waiting list management and ensure that these decisions are effectively communicated to all relevant parties:
Consultant staff, Managers, Theatres and Nursing Staff, maximising the use of Trust resources.
