About the Opportunity

This is an opportunity to practise optometry in the way many clinicians originally set out to - with time, autonomy and genuine patient connection.

You'll be joining a family-run domiciliary optician delivering high-quality eye care directly to patients in a care home setting. The focus is on continuity of care, clinical freedom and accessibility, rather than testing volumes or rigid KPIs.

The Role

Deliver comprehensive sight tests and eye health assessments in patients' care homes

Work one-to-one with patients in a calm, unhurried environment

Supported by a Dispensing Optician on visits, allowing you to focus on clinical care

Build long-term relationships with patients, families and care teams

Be part of a small, close-knit team where your input and experience are genuinely valued

About You

GOC-registered Optometrist

Patient-focused, empathetic and clinically confident

Enjoys working independently while being part of a supportive team

Comfortable working in a domiciliary setting

Full driving licence preferred due to community-based work
