The Medical Coder, Outpatient at Children's Hospital Los Angeles provides coding and predefined abstracting services following mandated Federal and State Regulations, Joint Commission, CHLA Medical Staff Rules and Regulations, and hospital policies and procedures. Participates in providing quality coded data for outcomes, peer review, reimbursement, research, marketing and development.
Performs as a mentor to non-credentialed coding staff.
