BJC Health Care is hiring an Inpatient Coder I for an entry level role. The coder will assign diagnosis and procedure codes for inpatient encounters, while adhering to regulatory guidelines, and will stay current with code updates and BJC coding guidance.
Responsibilities include accurately abstracting data elements, reviewing patient encounters for compliant coding, and collaborating with CDI, HIM Operations and other departments to maintain data integrity and coding accuracy.
