  • Proven experience:

    At least 3 years in a 1st Line IT Support role, delivering excellent technical assistance.
  • Strong technical foundation:
    Expertise in Microsoft Windows 11 and Microsoft 365 environments.
  • IT Service Management know-how:
    Hands‑on experience with ITSM tools for efficient ticket handling and workflow.
  • Device management skills:
    Familiarity with SCCM for device builds and application deployment.
  • Mobile device management:
    Experience managing and supporting mobile platforms.
  • End‑user support excellence:
    Skilled in troubleshooting desktops, laptops, and other computing devices.
  • Continuous learner:
    Proactive in keeping up to date with emerging technologies and best practices.
  • Organized and methodical:
    Strong organisational skills with a structured approach to tasks.
  • Planning and analytical ability:
    Good planning skills coupled with solid numeracy.
  • Cloud awareness:
    Basic understanding of Microsoft Azure services.
  • Networking fundamentals:
    Knowledge of network topologies and routing principles.
  • Certifications:

    CompTIA A+, ITIL Foundation (desirable).

You’ll be at the forefront of innovation, supporting a team that values progress, collaboration, and your professional development:

  • Monitoring, managing & maintaining core IT equipment within the Strabag UK.
  • Resolving level 1 issues/requests with networks and other systems; acting as single point of contact.
  • Providing technical assistance for questions and problems to end users.
  • Stock control and ordering for projects, business units and maintaining assets in the Asset Management System.
  • Writing, editing and revising manuals for new and updated software and hardware.
  • Managing the escalation process efficiently, ensuring 2nd level or supplier is provided with relevant information and making sure SLAs are met.
  • New starters – ensure that the relevant equipment and relevant accounts for new starters are available and prepared in time as part of their on‑boarding process.
  • User management (creation/deletion of user accounts across several systems for joiners/leavers).
  • Visiting project sites when required to set up IT equipment & ensure that all IT site setups are consistent & to the required standard.
  • Ensuring that the IT Helpdesk ticketing process is followed through from creating a ticket for every task undertaken to closure at the required standard.
  • Ensuring that any technical maintenance plans are followed, and affected users are informed in a timely manner.
