Job Description & How to Apply Below

Join Lepaya!

We’re looking for an exceptional UX/UI Designer to join our team for a temporary, 10-month assignment. We are open to both freelancers and temporary contracts and step in and drive the experience for one of our most critical products: the Lepaya Client Portal. This is a high-impact, temporary role where you will immediately take ownership of the design strategy and execution within a dedicated digital product squad.

You’ll be fully embedded with a Product Manager and Engineers, driving a Lean UX approach. This means ownership from strategy and research to hands‑on implementation. If you thrive on solving complex enterprise workflow challenges and want your design work to immediately empower global clients, this is your opportunity.

What you’ll bring
  • 4+ years of UX design experience, capable of designing for the complete product lifecycle from introduction through maturity.
  • Confidence working from discovery and ideation through prototyping, delivery, and iteration, collaborating closely with product manager, engineers, and planning experts.
  • Ability to balance business objectives, user needs, and technological constraints when proposing solutions, user flows, and UI interactions.
  • Excellent planning and organizational skills—you structure your projects for clarity, communicate timelines and dependencies, and keep multiple priorities moving smoothly.
  • Hands‑on expertise in user research, journey mapping, interaction design, usability testing, and behavior‑driven design. Skilled in both exploratory and evaluative research, synthesizing findings into actionable design decisions.
  • Mastery of Figma, prototyping tools, user research tools, and other tools that facilitate or accelerate user testing or hypothesis validation.
  • A strong sense of visual design, layout, and typography, with a portfolio demonstrating effective interfaces for web apps and enterprise tools.
  • Experience in establishing or evolving design systems and component libraries for scale and consistency, and collaborating with engineers to implement them.
Your achievements during this period
  • Collaborated effectively in an Agile environment to refine the roadmap, ensuring design activities are appropriately scoped and prioritized to deliver the most impactful experiences for all user types.
  • Successfully integrated Lean UX with Product Managers and Engineers, promoting a test‑and‑learn approach across the product lifecycle.
  • Designed and iterated a complete set of user journeys and flows, wireframes, prototypes, and high‑fidelity interfaces for the major feature releases for the Client Portal, focused on solving complex user and business goals.
  • Extracted actionable insights from primary user research and product analytics, using these findings to solve complex challenges and demonstrate a balance between business and user needs in your solutions.
  • Worked hands‑on with the Engineering team to deliver scalable, accessible system components, actively contributing new patterns and documentation to our evolving design system and increasing component re‑use across the Client Portal.
  • Ensured full UX and UI consistency across the Client Portal on all features you touched, maintaining a unified brand and experience.
Nice to have
  • Experience with prototyping and testing user interfaces and flows using AI tools like Lovable or Figma Make.
  • Data‑driven mindset and keen on recommending conclusions from quantitative insights (e.g., Amplitude, Google Analytics).
  • Strong understanding of UX copywriting principles to help guide users intuitively through digital experiences.
Why you’ll love this journey at Lepaya
  • A challenging role in a vibrant international scale‑up.
  • Our work‑to‑live scheme, which prioritizes health and wellbeing.
  • Unlimited holidays and Lepaya Fridays – every other Friday, a day for yourself.
  • Flexible hours and a hybrid working arrangement; we expect you to work from our office at least 2 days a week.
  • Work from anywhere for 8 weeks/year.
  • Access to Empowr, our well‑being partner.
  • Lots of opportunities to learn and grow, including internal career development:
  • Access to our Lepaya Academy to help you upskill.
