Roles & Responsibilities

What will you bring to the role:

• Experience with building & maintaining complex, scalable, and distributed systems
• Good understanding of Software Engineering and Computer Science principles
• Ability to formulate software solutions from scratch
• Hands-on experience in Linux administration and troubleshooting
• Creative approach to problem-solving
• Ability to define SLIs and SLOs
• Fluency in English, both spoken and written
• Additional experience in networking, security, storage, and working with Apache Kafka and/or Apache Flink is advantageous

Responsibilities

• Manage the reliability and scalability of a large-scale distributed streaming platform based on Apache Kafka and Apache Flink, handling 4M+ messages per second across thousands of topics and dozens of clusters.
• Participate in making critical technical decisions within the team and department.
• Architect, develop, and implement software to improve system stability, scalability, availability, and latency.
• Own multiple services with autonomy to align with business and customer needs.
• Develop systems to monitor system health and handle outages effectively.
• Conduct capacity tests to support system growth.
• Design systems for reliability across multinational data centers.
• Share on-call responsibilities and serve as an escalation point for incidents.
• Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams.
