Your new role
As a Software Architect, you will be responsible for defining and maintaining the architecture of mission-critical systems. Your main tasks include:
Acting as a key liaison between internal teams and external stakeholders to clarify and document high-level requirements
Translating operational needs into a scalable, future-proof system architecture aligned with the roadmap
Creating architecture and high-level design documentation
Supporting development teams throughout the software development lifecycle
Ensuring consistency across components with a focus on safety, security, and maintainability
Leading workshops and technical discussions to validate architectural decisions
Your profile
We are looking for an experienced professional with:
Professional fluency in English, plus proficiency in Dutch and/or French
A degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent experience
Solid background in software architecture and requirement analysis
Proficiency in data modeling and design tools (e.g., UML)
Experience in UI application design and software implementation
Knowledge of Hardware, software, networking, and security principles
Strong communication skills and ability to moderate workshops under tight deadlines
Familiarity with safety-critical systems or signaling technology is a plus
