Application support and SRE Specialist; Hyrbid

Overview

We're seeking an Application Support SME with expertise in SRE to support critical applications for External FED Reporting, Morgan Stanley Balance sheet reporting & Firm Capital Reporting.

Position:
Software Production Management & Reliability Engineering III (Director level) in the Technology division.

• Run the production environment by monitoring availability and taking a holistic view of system health.
• Build software and systems to manage platform infrastructure and applications.
• Improve reliability, quality, and time‑to‑market of our suite of software solutions.
• Gather and analyze metrics from operating systems and applications to assist in performance tuning and fault finding.
• Partner with development teams to improve services through rigorous testing and release procedures.
• Participate in system design consulting, platform management, and capacity planning.
• Create sustainable systems and services through automation and uplifts.
• Balance feature development speed and reliability with well‑defined service level objectives.
• Work closely with Users in the North America time zone to ensure quick resolution of IT issues.

• At least 2-4 years of relevant experience.
• Ability to effectively manage multiple functions or guide junior staff and initiatives.
• Knowledge of vendor tools such as Axiom is beneficial.
• Knowledge of investment banking, capital, and finance world is important.
• Knowledge of observability tools (Graphana, Prometheus, Splunk) is important.
• Should have database, shell scripting, and Python skills Scope initiatives.

All positions are located in Montreal, Quebec. We offer a hybrid work environment combining remote work and in‑office attendance. Knowledge of French and English is required.
