As a Solution Architect focusing on DNS, you will partner with government, financial services, and private sector clients to design solutions that address their most complex digital challenges. You will translate business requirements into practical, user‑centred solutions, considering non‑functional requirements from the outset and presenting recommendations to architectural review boards and senior stakeholders.

• Conduct options analysis for major system modernisation programmes.
• Facilitate design sessions with multi‑disciplinary teams, balancing user needs with business constraints.
• Present recommendations to senior stakeholders.
• Guide development teams through implementation decisions for projects such as government citizen portals, bank digital transformations, and private sector modernisation programmes.

Essential

• Experience designing and validating enterprise‑scale solutions across cloud platforms, application & data architecture, and system integration.
• Demonstrable leadership on complex solution designs with successful outcomes.
• Strong communication skills to explain technical concepts to both technical and non‑technical audiences.
• Experience with DNS (cloud‑native services and/or BIND) and private DNS resolution implementation.
• Delivery of Azure technologies that are highly available, high performing, and secure following the Cloud Adoption Framework and Well‑Architected Framework.
• Experience with cloud‑native solutions, CI/CD pipelines, Terraform.

Design & Implementation Experience

• Designed and delivered enterprise‑scale digital solutions using microservices, APIs, and Azure.
• Applied architectural patterns and design principles with sufficient technical depth for technology, Dev Ops, and monitoring decisions.

Stakeholder Engagement & Problem‑solving

• Worked directly with clients and senior stakeholders to facilitate discussions and build consensus around solution approaches.

Desirable

• Large‑organisation delivery experience, including government departments, major financial institutions, or large private sector organisations.
• Hands‑on modern software development background informed solution design.
• Active participation in technical communities and knowledge sharing.
• Specific experience in government digital services, financial services transformation, or large‑scale private sector modernisation programmes.
