We are looking for an experienced Service Designer to support the delivery of complex, user-centred digital services in the UK public sector
. This is a fully remote contract role
, open to UK-based candidates, with an immediate start and running until March
.

• Design and iterate end-to-end services that meet user needs and organisational outcomes
• Apply the GDS Service Standard across discovery, alpha, beta, and live
• Produce service design artefacts including journey maps, service blueprints, and ecosystem maps
• Collaborate with product, delivery, research, content, and technical colleagues
• Use research and insight to inform design decisions
• Support teams through design assurance and service assessments

• Proven experience working as a Service Designer on NHS services
• Strong, hands‑on experience of GDS ways of working and standards
• Experience delivering UK public sector digital services
• Comfortable working in complex, regulated environments
• Strong stakeholder management and communication skills

• Rate: £472 per day
• IR35: Inside IR35
• Location: Fully remote (UK-based)
• Start: Immediate
• Duration: Until March 2026
