(Post) Production Cloud Architect
We're looking for a skilled and experienced Television Post-Production Cloud Editing Solutions Architect to join our team.
The ideal candidate will have extensive experience designing, building, and implementing cloud-based workflows for television production and post-production environments. This role requires deep expertise in AWS cloud architectures and a strong understanding of major editing software solutions to create seamless, efficient, and scalable remote editing solutions.
Responsibilities- Architect and design cloud-based post-production workflows, including ingest, editing, VFX, and delivery, using AWS services.
- Collaborate with editorial, production, and technical teams to understand their requirements and translate them into robust, scalable, and cost-effective cloud solutions.
- Develop and implement strategies for media asset management (MAM) and archival in the cloud.
- Evaluate and integrate new technologies and tools to improve workflow efficiency and performance.
- Provide technical guidance and support to end-users on cloud editing software and workflows.
- Ensure security, compliance, and data integrity within all cloud environments.
- Stay up-to-date with the latest trends and advancements in cloud technology and post-production.
- Proven experience as a solutions architect or similar role, specifically in designing and implementing cloud workflows for production and post-production environments.
- Expert-level proficiency in AWS including services such as S3, EC2, EBS, Glacier, Cloud Front, and Elemental Media Services.
- Strong understanding of major editing software solutions such as Adobe Premiere Pro, Avid Media Composer, and DaVinci Resolve, and how they operate in a cloud-based setting.
- Good technical knowledge of major video transfer and networking protocols, including Aspera, Signiant, SRT, RIST, and Zixi.
- Experience with video codecs, file formats, and media transfer protocols (e.g., Aspera, Signiant).
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot complex technical issues.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills to effectively work with cross-functional teams.
- AWS Certified Solutions Architect or other relevant certifications.
- Experience with scripting languages like Python for automation.
- Knowledge of color correction, audio mixing, and visual effects workflows.
- Familiarity with containerisation technologies like Docker.
