  • To ensure the smooth operation, maintenance, and development of all IT and communication systems across the organisation, providing timely technical support and troubleshooting to staff and volunteers.
  • To conduct regular visits to all North‑West locations to check hardware, resolve IT issues, and deliver on‑site support, ensuring consistent service standards across all sites.
  • To maintain and improve IT processes, systems, and documentation, supporting effective service delivery, data integrity, and compliance with organisational standards and procedures.
  • To support the organisation’s digital transformation by developing and implementing solutions using tools such as Microsoft Power Platform and AI to streamline processes and improve service efficiency.
ROLE & MAIN PURPOSES OF THE POST Delivery
  • Provide responsive, user‑focused IT support to staff and volunteers, resolving technical issues via phone, email, and face‑to‑face support across all sites.
  • Maintain, install, and configure hardware, software, and peripherals, ensuring reliable and secure access to systems for both on‑site and remote workers.
  • Manage user accounts, permissions, and access controls, supporting effective onboarding and ensuring adherence to organisational standards.
  • Monitor systems and security events, support updates and patches, and carry out routine maintenance to ensure stability and compliance.
  • Maintain accurate logging and documentation of support requests, assets, and system changes, ensuring clear audit trails and efficient service delivery.
Business & Service Development
  • Support the organisation’s digital transformation by developing, maintaining, and improving solutions using tools such as Microsoft Power Platform and AI.
  • Work proactively with teams to understand digital needs, identify process improvements, and support the introduction of new tools, systems, and ways of working.
