Salary Package:
£50,000 - £60,000 plus large company benefits, a broad flexible benefits scheme, and 2 paid-for volunteering days a year
Hours:
9.00 am – 5.30 pm, Monday – Friday

Provide solution design and consultancy services across SCC Enterprise products and services and where required, customer environments.
Work closely with the sales function to support customer presales engagements and promote SCC products and services.
Security clearance or willingness to apply will be required for this role.
Key responsibilities:- Provide compute, storage and data protection solution design and consultancy across all SCC Enterprise products and services, ensuring all designs adhere to SCC standards and follow the defined architecture governance process.
- Lead on the solution design for the development of new SCC Enterprise products and services in-line with strategic business objectives.
- Help ensure all in-life platforms are fit-for-purpose, supportable and secure by evaluating existing architectures and supporting the business functions, where necessary providing suggestions on improvements.
- Provide compute, storage and data protection expertise for customer presales engagements across the SCC Enterprise portfolio to help drive the sales of products and services.
- Proactively work to identify operational efficiencies and cost-savings that can be realised through the customer environment; present recommendations to customers with supporting justification and financial models.
- Contribute to the development of the strategy across SCC Enterprise.
- Provide technical leadership and mentoring to SCC employees and customers.
- Produce and maintain reference architectures with a view to increasing standardisation in the Enterprise space across the organisation.
- Significant design experience across compute, storage and data protection technologies, with a deep understanding of the interfaces with adjacent technology products and services.
- Significant network implementation experience across
PE and Dell platforms. - Expert level knowledge of compute, storage and data protection products.
- Working knowledge of VMware technologies.
- Strong documentation skills with proven experience of writing network HLD / LLD, supporting documents and solution schematics.
- Experience supporting presales activities with contribution to RFI/RFP response, BoM and SoW.
- Experience of acting as technical lead on complex, large scale deployments.
- Automation skills with tools such as Ansible and Terraform are advantageous, or a willingness to upskill in this area as required.
- Public cloud skills are advantageous, or a willingness to upskill in this area as required.
- Confident presenter to internal and external stakeholders.
- Resilient and able to handle pressure and challenging situations.
- Strong analytical, organizational, and decision-making skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams, particularly with the ability to build positive relationships between Vendors and customers.
