Digital Consultant– Role Overview
Digital is changing the way we deliver and will help the Water industry achieve AMP8 delivery targets. Emerging technologies such as Generative Design, Artificial Intelligence, Digital Twins, and advanced analytics will transform our industry. The Digital Consultant will drive digital transformation and innovation, identifying opportunities for process improvement and automation, recommending and integrating digital tools, and ensuring alignment with team and business goals.
Key Responsibilities- Use Python to automate repeatable tasks, transform datasets, validate data quality, or prototype logic that complements low‑code solutions.
- Build and enhance SharePoint Online sites, lists, libraries, and metadata structures to support digital workflows and document/data management.
- Develop and maintain Power Automate flows (approvals, notifications, data movement, scheduled jobs, governance‑friendly automation).
- Support data visualisation through Power BI, including data manipulation in Power Query, and collaborate with stakeholders to communicate insights.
- Provide technical support, facilitate training, and create clear documentation for maintainable solutions.
- Help run discovery sessions with teams to understand pain points and collaborate on solution development.
- Undergraduate or higher degree in a relevant discipline, or equivalent professional experience and qualifications.
- Good knowledge of programming languages and data integration tools such as Python and FME.
- Appreciation of a variety of programming languages, visualisation, modelling, and automation packages and their interoperability.
- Experience managing data and using data to drive decision‑making.
- Strong communication skills to understand team requirements and influence behaviours, fostering a culture of innovation.
