Data Analyst
Digital Consultant – WSP
Digital is changing the way we deliver and over the coming years will help the Water industry achieve AMP8 delivery targets. Emerging technologies such as Generative Design, Artificial Intelligence, Digital Twins and advanced analytics will change at pace and play a significant role transforming our industry to deliver more sustainable, high‑quality outcomes. You will work with clients pushing the boundaries of technology to increase productivity and deliver real efficiencies throughout the asset lifecycle, including operations, strategy, planning, design, procurement and build stages of their programmes.
In this role you will drive digital transformation and innovation within our team, identifying opportunities for process improvement and automation, recommending and integrating digital tools, and ensuring alignment with team and business goals.
Responsibilities- Use Python to automate repeatable tasks, transform datasets, validate data quality, or prototype logic that complements low‑code solutions.
- Build and enhance SharePoint Online sites, lists, libraries and metadata structures to support digital workflows and document/data management.
- Develop and maintain Power Automate flows (approvals, notifications, data movement, scheduled jobs, governance‑friendly automation).
- Support data visualisation through tools such as Power
BI, including data manipulation in Power Query and working with stakeholders to communicate insights. - Support teams with clear documentation, tested scripts, and maintainable solutions.
- Help run discovery sessions with teams to understand pain points in delivery and collaborate to develop solutions.
- Provide technical support, facilitate training and documentation, and foster a culture of innovation.
- Undergraduate or higher degree in a relevant discipline, or equivalent professional experience and qualifications.
- Good knowledge of programming languages and data integration tools such as Python and FME.
- Appreciation and awareness of a variety of programming languages, visualisation, modelling and automation packages and their interoperability.
- Experience of managing data and using data to drive decision making.
- Strong communication skills to effectively understand team requirements and influence behaviours, fostering a culture of innovation.
