Role Overview

Join Job Duck as a Business Intelligence Team Lead and become a driving force behind data-driven decision-making. In this role, you’ll guide a talented team of analysts to deliver impactful analytics, dashboards, and insights that shape the future of Sales, Marketing, Finance, and Talent. You’ll thrive by balancing hands‑on technical work with people leadership and stakeholder management, ensuring every analytics product is reliable, actionable, and aligned with company goals.

Your daily impact will be felt through coaching, standard‑setting, and elevating data quality, while fostering a collaborative environment where innovation and excellence are celebrated. The ideal candidate is detail‑oriented, proactive, and passionate about transforming complex business questions into clear, strategic solutions.

Schedule

Monday to Friday from 8:30 AM to 5:30 PM EST (USA)

Your Responsibilities
  • Partnering with HR/Workday Admins to keep Job Profile skills/competencies current in the Job Architecture Hub
  • Applying competency/skills libraries and proficiency levels in Job Profiles to standardize expectations across BI roles
  • Maintaining reusable datasets, report catalogs, and user guides for self‑service
  • Enforcing definition‑of‑done (documentation, QA checks, peer review, success criteria before release)
  • Translating ambiguous business questions into analytical problems; maintaining an intake and prioritization mechanism and SLAs
  • Coaching analysts on problem framing, design reviews, storytelling, and stakeholder engagement
  • Owning team backlog, capacity, and sprint/Kanban rituals; assigning work aligned to business priorities
  • Overseeing Fabric pipelines/Lakehouse and Big Query datasets with a focus on performance and cost efficiency
  • Building and reviewing Power BI semantic models, measures (DAX), Power Query transformations, and visuals; setting visualization standards
  • Presenting insights and trade‑offs to leaders; driving decisions with clear narratives—not just visuals
Qualifications
  • At least two years of experience in BI/Analytics delivering dashboards and stakeholder‑facing insights
  • One year leading analysts or acting as a technical lead/mentor
  • Production experience with Power BI / Microsoft Fabric and Google Big Query
  • Technical proficiency in Power BI (DAX, Power Query, data modeling), Microsoft Fabric (Dataflows Gen2, Lakehouse, pipelines), Google Big Query (SQL optimization, partitioning, cost control), and data storytelling
  • Business acumen and stakeholder management
  • Coaching and mentoring analysts
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills
  • Ability to operate the full BI lifecycle
  • Experience with data governance and performance optimization
  • Bachelor’s degree in Data Analytics, Information Systems, Computer Science, Engineering, Statistics, Economics, or equivalent experience
  • Microsoft Certified:
    Power BI Data Analyst (PL‑300), Fabric Analytics Engineer (DP‑600), Google Professional Data Engineer, Scrum Master (CSM), or PMI‑ACP
  • Reliable computer setup (laptop/PC, headset, stable internet min. 10 Mbps download / 5 Mbps upload)
  • Quiet, distraction‑free remote work environment
