Technical Solutions Executive, Construction, Canada (Remote)

Position Overview

As a Territory Technical Solutions Executive (TSE), you play a key role in the success of Autodesk's global construction sales. Our mission is to transform the construction industry. You will collaborate with AMER Territory Sales Executives to demonstrate how the Autodesk platform addresses customer challenges, leveraging your experience in the AEC sector to build relationships, identify needs, develop strategies, and showcase the value of our solutions.

The role involves understanding customer environments, fostering long-term partnerships, and working within a dynamic, friendly technical sales team. This is a remote position based in the eastern US.

Responsibilities
  • Collaboration with Sales Teams
    • Partner with AMER Sales Executives to close new deals and grow existing accounts.
    • Participate in team meetings, QBRs, and executive briefings.
  • Expansion Planning
    • Create technical expansion plans aligned with Autodesk’s revenue goals and customer initiatives.
    • Develop strategies to demonstrate the technical capabilities of Autodesk Construction Cloud to meet client needs.
  • Customer Relationship Management
    • Gain deep insights into customer workflows and requirements to build trust.
    • Ensure seamless handoffs between pre-sales and deployment teams, showcasing expertise to position Autodesk as a long-term partner.
  • Technical Discovery & Solution Demonstration
    • Work with clients and account teams to secure business and technical agreements.
    • Manage evaluations, define solutions architecture, conduct demos, and consult with account managers.
    • Guide clients on strategic product issues, document pain points and decision criteria in Salesforce.
    • Participate in technical discovery based on opportunity complexity.
    • Collaborate with global teams to position solutions favorably.
    • Coordinate with partners and technical teams on custom workflow integrations.
  • Internal Collaboration & Leadership
    • Build relationships within the sales team and coordinate with deployment, marketing, and centers of excellence.
    • Share best practices, competitive intelligence, and expertise.
    • Mentor new TSEs, lead internal training sessions, and participate in professional associations.
    Minimum Qualifications
    • Fluent in French and English (spoken and written)
    • Over 5 years’ experience in the AEC industry
    • Experience as a foreman, project manager, superintendent, or similar role
    • Experience with SaaS technology and sales
    • Ability to simplify complex workflows for diverse AEC audiences
    • Willingness to travel up to 30% for client and internal meetings
