Application Support and SRE Specialist (Hybrid)
We're seeking someone to join our Regulatory team as an Application Support SME as well as an SRE to support and ensure stability of critical applications needed for External FED Reporting, Morgan Stanley balance sheet reporting, and Firm Capital Reporting.
In the Technology division, we leverage innovation to build the connections and capabilities that power our Firm, enabling our clients and colleagues to redefine markets and shape the future of our communities. This is a Software Production Management & Reliability Engineering III position at Director level, responsible for overseeing the production environment, ensuring operational reliability of deployed software, and implementing strategies to optimize performance and minimize downtime.

What You’ll Do InThe Role
- Run the production environment by monitoring availability and taking a holistic view of system health.
- Build software and systems to manage platform infrastructure and applications.
- Improve reliability, quality, and time‑to‑market of our suite of software solutions.
- Gather and analyze metrics from both operating systems and applications to assist in performance tuning and fault finding.
- Partner with development teams to improve services through rigorous testing and release procedures.
- Participate in system design consulting, platform management, and capacity planning.
- Create sustainable systems and services through automation and uplifts.
- Balance feature development speed and reliability with well‑defined service level objectives.
- Work closely with User North America Time zone as they are primary users of the applications to ensure quick resolution of IT issues.
The Role
- At least 2‑4 years of relevant experience to meet the skill requirements for this role.
- Ability to effectively manage multiple functions or guide junior staff and initiatives.
- Knowledge of vendor tools such as Axiom is beneficial.
- Understanding of the investment banking and capital markets finance world.
- Experience with observability tools such as Grafana, Prometheus, and Splunk.
- Proficiency in databases, shell scripting, and Python.
