Shopify Tech Lead

We’re looking for a Shopify Technical Lead to join a fast-growing digital team and take ownership of delivering high-quality Shopify solutions for global brands.

This is a hands‑on leadership role where you’ll guide developers, architect solutions, own technical delivery, and ensure best‑in‑class performance across Shopify storefronts and apps.

You’ll work closely with Technical Directors, Project Managers, and wider engineering teams to shape how products are planned, built, deployed, and maintained.

• Leading the technical delivery of Shopify builds, apps, and complex features
• Architecting scalable, secure, and high‑performing Shopify solutions
• Guiding developers through code reviews, mentoring, and best practices
• Breaking down epics / features and supporting sprint planning activities
• Overseeing CI / CD processes, version control workflows, and environment setups
• Resolving incidents, debugging issues, and improving system reliability
• Presenting technical decisions to stakeholders and influencing strategy
• Supporting team members, removing blockers, and fostering collaboration
• Ensuring consistent documentation (HLD, LLD, VCS / CI / CD standards, etc.)

• 3-4+ years of hands‑on Shopify development
• Experience leading developers or acting as a senior / lead engineer
• Strong understanding of multi‑store, multi‑market, international setups
• Ability to design scalable architectures and communicate trade‑offs
• Deep expertise across Shopify Plus, custom apps, and modern dev tooling
• Experience in Agile teams and confidence running technical ceremonies
• Strong communication skills — able to work with both technical and non‑technical stakeholders
