Numi is partnering with an ambitious health technology start‑up that is reimagining how clinicians and patients interact with healthcare systems. Their product is an AI‑powered clinical assistant built to support doctors and patients throughout the care journey—from consultations and diagnostics to ongoing monitoring and recovery.

We’re looking for a Senior AI / Machine Learning Engineer to design, build, and scale advanced language and machine learning systems at the core of the company’s clinical platform.

You’ll work closely with clinicians, product managers, and software engineers to transform complex healthcare challenges into robust, data‑driven solutions. This is a hands‑on role with broad impact—touching everything from model training and deployment to safety evaluation and infrastructure.

• Design and implement NLP and ML systems for clinical and conversational applications
• Build and maintain data pipelines, model training, fine‑tuning, evaluation, and deployment workflows
• Collaborate cross‑functionally to translate clinical requirements into scalable technical solutions
• Ensure safety, performance, and regulatory compliance of ML systems
• Contribute to technical strategy, architectural decisions, and mentoring within the ML team

• 4+ years of hands‑on experience in AI, ML, or NLP, ideally in a product setting
• Strong knowledge of large language models (LLMs), embeddings, fine‑tuning, and evaluation methods
• Advanced Python skills and experience with frameworks like PyTorch, Tensor Flow, and Hugging Face
• Experience building full ML pipelines from data ingestion to deployment
• Solid software engineering practices including testing, version control, and CI / CD
• Strong communication and collaboration skills, especially with non‑technical stakeholders
• Interest in applying AI to healthcare or other high‑impact domains

• Experience in healthcare, clinical AI, or medical data
• Knowledge of model safety, bias monitoring, or regulatory frameworks
• Familiarity with multi‑modal ML, retrieval‑augmented systems, or knowledge graphs
• Production experience with scalable ML systems
• Understanding of privacy and security considerations in regulated environments
