As our Intermediate QA Automation Engineer, you will be the dedicated quality owner for the Marketing Engineering squad at Employment Hero. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys bringing structure to fast-moving environments, takes pride in preventing issues before they happen, and wants to grow from strong manual QA into test automation.
You’ll help us ensure that every marketing website release is delivered with consistency, clarity, and confidence. You’ll work closely with developers, PMs and designers to improve workflows, strengthen documentation standards, and progressively automate repetitive tests to increase our velocity.

- Own the end-to-end quality of our marketing websites, ensuring every release is reliable and regression-free.
- Test new features, fixes and templates across Web, Word Press and API integrations.
- Build clear test cases, regression checklists and QA standards for the squad.
- Work with PMs and developers to clarify requirements early and prevent gaps before development starts.
- Improve processes around documentation, version control and deployment discipline.
- Start with hands‑on manual testing while progressively introducing automation for high‑value flows.
- Develop lightweight automated tests and integrate them into our CI/CD pipeline over time.
- Identify inefficiencies and propose smarter, faster ways to ensure quality at scale.

Core Qualifications- You have at least 5 years of experience as a QA Engineer across manual and automation testing.
- You have strong experience testing web applications end to end.
- You have hands‑on experience using automation frameworks such as Cypress, Playwright, Detox or Maestro.
- You are comfortable working with JavaScript or Type Script in modern web automation frameworks and have practical experience writing or maintaining automation scripts.
- You can write clear, structured test cases, regression checklists and detailed bug reports.
- You have familiarity with REST API testing and can validate API behaviour as part of end‑to‑end testing.
- You communicate clearly, proactively seek clarification when requirements are incomplete and collaborate effectively with engineers and PMs.
- You maintain high attention to detail and can identify inconsistencies and potential risks early.
