We are seeking an experienced Technical Lead or Solutions Architect to design scalable technology solutions and critical platforms and services.

The Role Business Technology Lead

The Senior Technical Lead - Business Systems is a senior, hands-on technical role responsible for helping a growing organisation (circa 250 employees) make better use of its technology and systems as it scales.

The role takes a holistic view of the organisation's platforms, CRMs, SaaS tools, integrations and processes, assessing whether they are fit for purpose today and scalable for future growth. The role sits between the business and technology, working closely with stakeholders to understand real problems, explore alternative solutions where appropriate, and shape practical, proportionate technical solutions.

This is not a traditional enterprise architecture role. It is a pragmatic, delivery-focused position suited to a growing organisation where systems, processes and ownership are still evolving. The role involves analysing, advising, developing and continuously improving systems and processes so they can grow with the business.

• Develop high-level and detailed solution designs across software applications
• Ensure all solutions are aligned with architectural principles, industry best practice, and security standards.
• Provide technical leadership and guidance through the project lifecycle
• Research emerging technologies and evaluate their potential impact on the group.
• Manage relationships internally and externally with relevant parties as part of the solution design and delivery.

The Candidate Business Technology Lead

Essential:

• Strong experience in a senior, hands-on technical role within a small to mid-sized organisation
• Background as a Senior Software Engineer, Technical Lead or similar
• Experience working across multiple systems, platforms and integrations
• Experience analysing existing systems and processes and recommending better, more scalable approaches
• Experience translating business problems into clear, workable technical solutions

Desirable:

• Experience supporting a business through growth or change
• Exposure to CRM platforms, SaaS environments or automation tools
• Experience working with APIs, integrations or workflow tooling

• Comfortable with ambiguity and evolving requirements
• Strong communicator who enjoys working with non-technical stakeholders
