Data & BI Developer

Role OverviewA leading financial services provider is embarking on a major data transformation, building a modern architecture with Microsoft and Databricks technologies to become a truly data-driven organisation. As part of our client's programme and management information team, we are seeking a Data Modeller & BI Developer to drive data modelling, schema design, and business intelligence reporting. This pivotal role will deliver tangible business value through data, supporting strategic initiatives and regulatory change.Responsibilities

• Design and implement robust data models and schemas.
• Develop Power
  
  BI reports and dashboards for strategic and regulatory needs.
• Create calculations, measures, KPIs, and Critical Data Elements (CDEs).
• Coach business users on data best practices and model usage.
• Enhance operational efficiency for Power
  
  BI data ingestion and transformation.
• Contribute to data governance, quality, and literacy initiatives.

What you'll need to succeed

• Expert proficiency in Microsoft Power BI (Desktop, Service, DAX).
• Expertise in Data Modelling and Schema creation.
• Strong experience with Databricks and Azure Data Lake design.
• Proficiency in SQL, ETL frameworks, and database management systems.
• Analytical mindset with proven problem-solving abilities.
• Excellent communication, coaching, and teamwork skills in an agile environment.

What you'll get in return

• 6 Month contract with view to extend
• £400 - 450 per day rate
• Hybrid working with 3 days on-site at Milton Keynes and 2 days working from home
