• Data Engineering Design & Delivery (Practitioner) – You can design and oversee the implementation of complex, enterprise‑scale data processes and ETL pipelines, translating complex customer requirements into robust, scalable solutions.
• Data Standards & Governance (Expert) – You have deep expertise in establishing and maintaining data engineering standards across teams, ensuring adherence to organisational and community standards for consistency and compliance.
• Problem Solving & Incident Management (Practitioner) – You can lead investigations into complex data issues, including ETL pipeline failures and platform‑level problems, applying solutions that consider strategic, tactical, and operational impacts.

We’re looking for a Senior IT Asset Manager to lead a high‑performing team responsible for managing all software and associated hardware assets across DWP. This is a fast‑paced, strategic role where you’ll oversee compliance, data integrity, and relationships with major publishers.

You’ll set and implement asset strategies, manage renewals, and ensure adherence to policy and governance standards. You’ll analyse large datasets to inform decisions, provide actionable insights, and maintain accurate asset data across the estate.

You’ll also lead corrective actions for non‑compliance, champion automation and efficiency, and support the adoption of new technologies to improve processes.

As a senior leader, you’ll coach and mentor your team, promote collaboration, and foster a high‑performance culture. You’ll work closely with stakeholders to balance risk, value, and compliance, while driving strategic improvements across the organisation.

You’ll join us in one of our brilliant digital hubs in Blackpool or Manchester, whichever is most convenient for you.

We work a hybrid model – you’ll spend some time working at home and some time collaborating face‑to‑face in a hub.

We offer competitive pay of £57,946 per annum.

You’ll receive a civil service pension with employer contributions worth 28.97%.
