This is an exciting opportunity to become part of DWP’s Service Portfolio Catalogue Team.
We are a collaborative, forward‑thinking group dedicated to managing and shaping how services are accurately recorded and represented across the department.
We’re looking for a motivated and passionate individual who wants to make a meaningful impact in Digital outside of traditional infrastructure roles. In this role, you’ll ensure service data is of the highest quality, consistent, reliable and aligned with governance standards.
You will support the development and implementation of Service Portfolio Catalogue strategic plans, taking into account the Common Service Data Model within Service Now.

What skills, knowledge and experience will you need?- Strong understanding of Service Now Common Service Data Model (CSDM) concepts, including key record types and their relationships.
- Hands‑on experience creating, maintaining and governing multiple CSDM record types (e.g., Business Applications, Application Services, Service Offerings).
- Knowledge of service management frameworks, preferably ITIL, with practical application experience.
- Proven ability to deliver results through stakeholder engagement, negotiation, and collaboration at all levels.
- Excellent communication and influencing skills, with proficiency in Service Now, Microsoft Office (especially Excel), and related tools.
You’ll play a key role in developing and implementing strategic plans for the Service Portfolio Catalogue, ensuring alignment with the Common Service Data Model (CSDM) within Service Now.
You will work closely with stakeholders to optimise the capture and use of service records and associated data, agreeing plans and procedures, managing changes, and ensuring clear communication throughout.
Maintain and enhance standards, processes, and tools to keep service data accurate, complete, and available, while reporting on performance and using automation to improve efficiency.
You need to be able to build strong relationships across teams, define process interfaces, and support continuous improvement, including modelling and testing in multiple Service Now environments for future platform releases.
Your work will enable better visibility and control of services, supporting digital transformation and helping DWP deliver value to millions of users.
LocationYou’ll join us in one of our brilliant digital hubs in Blackpool or Newcastle whichever is most convenient for you.

PayWe offer competitive pay of £38,772.
