Müller's Solutions is in search of a dedicated Patch Management Engineer to enhance our IT infrastructure and ensure system security across our organization. In this role, you will be responsible for developing, implementing, and managing patch management processes and tools, ensuring that all systems are updated with the latest security patches and software updates. You will work closely with IT and security teams to identify vulnerabilities and mitigate risks related to outdated software.
Key Responsibilities:- Develop and implement an effective patch management strategy that aligns with organizational policies and security compliance requirements.
- Monitor and evaluate system vulnerabilities and recommend appropriate patches and updates.
- Coordinate and schedule patch deployment, ensuring minimum disruption to operations.
- Implement automated tools and processes for efficient patch management across diverse systems and platforms.
- Maintain accurate records of patch statuses, deployments, and exceptions.
- Conduct testing of patches in a controlled environment before full deployment.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure timely and effective communication regarding system maintenance and downtime.
- Provide training and support to IT staff on patch management best practices and procedures.
- Stay updated with the latest industry trends, threats, and mitigation strategies related to patch management.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- At least 3 years of experience in IT operations, system administration, or cybersecurity related to patch management.
- In-depth knowledge of patch management tools and techniques.
- Experience with enterprise-level patch management solutions, such as SCCM, Ivanti, or similar tools.
- Familiarity with various operating systems (Windows, Linux, macOS) and applications.
- Strong analytical skills and the ability to assess the impact of patches on systems and applications.
- Excellent documentation skills for creating and maintaining patch management processes.
- Strong attention to detail and the ability to multitask.
- Familiarity with compliance standards and regulatory requirements related to patch management.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work under pressure.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills to collaborate effectively with technical and non-technical staff.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a remote work environment.
- Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple projects and priorities efficiently.
