Position: REMOTE - Sr AWS Serverless Developer (CDK/Lambda/Step Functions) to architect and deploy cloud-native infrastructure

S.i. Systems boutique consulting firm is seeking a REMOTE Sr. AWS Serverless Developer (CDK/Lambda/Step Functions) to architect and deploy cloud-native infrastructure - Contract to Permanent

They are seeking a Senior AWS Serverless Developer to lead the finalization and deployment of a new AWS serverless architecture. This role focuses on cloud-native development, infrastructure modernization, and ensuring security and reliability across the platform.

Fully REMOTE - Contract or Permanent opportunity

Must be based in Canada due to data residency requirements.

Must work Pacific time zone hours of 9am - 3pm core working hours

Must Haves

  • 8+ years of professional software development experience
  • Strong expertise in AWS Serverless architectures including Lambda, Step Functions, Dynamo

    DB, S3, Batch
  • Hands-on experience with AWS CDK or Cloud Formation for infrastructure as code
  • Proficiency in Node.js for Lambda function development
  • Experience with CI/CD pipelines and deployment automation

    • Nice to Haves

  • Experience with Postgre

    SQL or relational databases
  • Background in healthcare or regulated industries
  • Security best practices for cloud infrastructure
  • Experience mentoring or leading technical teams

    • Responsibilities

  • Lead finalization and deployment of AWS Serverless architecture using CDK, Lambda, S3, Dynamo

    DB, Batch, Step Functions
    , and related services
  • Drive continuous improvement and modernization of cloud infrastructure
  • Collaborate with systems administrators on security, reliability, and deployment best practices
  • Ensure code quality, maintainability, and scalability across all serverless services
  • Attend client meetings alongside the Backend/Data Engineer to provide technical updates on infrastructure
  • Partner with backend team to integrate serverless components with existing Node.js/Postgre
