Blockchain Engineer

We specialise in the recruitment of high quality candidates in the Blockchain sector. We have an excellent opportunity for a skilled Blockchain Engineer on a remote basis. The role holder will develop applications solutions and smart contracts.

Remote Contract, 6-12 months : £130,000 - £180,000 (pro-rata), dependent on experience.

• Design and implement decentralised applications and smart contracts on several platforms
• Determine blockchain protocols, consensus mechanisms, and data structures
• Remain up to date on the latest technologies and frameworks
• Integrate appropriate tools and libraries to enhance blockchain functionality
• Conduct security audits to ensure the confidentiality of blockchain data
• Optimise blockchain performance and deal with scalability challenges
• Work with software developers, system administrators, and stakeholders to integrate solutions
• Collaborate with third parties to implement solutions
• Test and debug blockchain applications to resolve issues
• Implement best practices for code quality, testing, and documentation
• Research emerging blockchain technologies and propose innovative solutions
• Contribute to other relevant projects
• Prepare documentation on solutions, including architecture, deployment, and maintenance
• Train internal teams on blockchain technologies

• Bachelor's or Master's in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field
• Proven experience as a Blockchain Engineer or similar
• Highly proficient in blockchain protocols, consensus algorithms, and cryptographic techniques
• Strong programming skills in Solidity, Java, Python, or C++, etc.
• Good experience with blockchain development frameworks (e.g., Ethereum, Hyperledger, Binance Smart Chain)
• Knowledge of decentralised finance (DeFi) (non-fungible tokens (NFTs) is desirable)
• Familiarity with smart contract security best practices
