Data Engineer; Remote Market Related

Overview

A leading Fin Tech company seeks a Data Engineer with a knack for data analysis to join its remote team.

• Design and build data management solutions using software and tools.
• Configure and implement at various clients and understand business requirements of Asset Managers.
• Construct end‑to‑end data service solutions and provide 2nd Tier support and enhancement services.
• Develop, construct, test and maintain data architectures (databases, large‑scale processing systems).
• Employ scripting languages to integrate systems, recommend data reliability improvements and automate work flow tools.
• Provide feedback to the Development team regarding new functionality and issue logging.

• Tertiary degree in Computer Science,
  
  B.Sc, Informatics, Mathematics, Actuarial Science or an Engineering Degree.
• Experience in data integration, transformation, cleaning, integrity checking and SQL, SSIS, database scripting.
• Experience in data visualization with Qlik View, Power BI, Tableau and reporting using Excel.
• Experience consuming APIs, ETL or Data Warehousing knowledge and statistical languages such as R, MATLAB.
• Any experience within Asset Management and Financial Services.

• Client oriented and good at problem solving.
• Build strong networks and relationships with clients and internally.
• Capable of managing conflicting priorities and providing timely responses to client inquiries.
• Self‑managed, self‑motivated and passionate about learning beyond the work sphere.
