RED TIC is recruiting for an IT Infrastructure Specialist for a freelance assignment in Ottawa. The role involves designing, implementing, and maintaining the organization’s IT infrastructure, ensuring reliability, security, and efficiency.

• Design and implement scalable and secure IT infrastructure solutions.
• Manage and maintain servers, networks, and virtual environments.
• Monitor performance and ensure system availability and reliability.
• Implement and maintain security measures and best practices.
• Troubleshoot infrastructure issues and provide support to internal teams.
• Collaborate with IT teams to optimize infrastructure and improve operational efficiency.
• Evaluate new technologies and solutions to meet business requirements.
• Document infrastructure configurations, processes, and procedures.

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
• Proven experience as an IT Infrastructure Specialist or similar role.
• Strong knowledge of network infrastructure and security principles.
• Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) and virtualization technologies.
• Proficiency in scripting and automation (Power Shell, Python, etc.).
• Familiarity with ITIL framework and best practices.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Strong communication skills in both French and English.
