At Pencil, we are driving innovation in advertising technology through our state‑of‑the‑art SaaS product, which harnesses Generative AI to redefine content creation. Our mission is to make AI the default in advertising without replacing creative people. To achieve this, we need to make sure that our technology isn’t just in the hands of big brands – we need to help small businesses and creative individuals too.

Responsibilities
  • Drive product strategy and delivery for your area, whether that’s platform foundations, creative tooling, or agent experiences.
  • Define and evolve key systems such as workflows, agent behaviours, platform frameworks, APIs and creative tools, which combine human creativity with intelligent automation.
  • Turn ambiguity into crisp PRDs, collaborate deeply with Design, and push projects from ideation to shipped with real tenacity.
  • Translate ambiguous opportunities into clear product plans, using structured thinking to bring focus, priorities, and alignment across teams.
  • Partner cross‑functionally with Engineering, Design, Creative, and Go‑To‑Market teams to take features from concept to launch and iterate.
  • Stay close to AI developments, understanding model capabilities, release cycles, and integration considerations so we build with the best available tools.
  • Conduct product discovery through user research, data analysis, prototyping, and experiments to validate what really solves customer problems.
  • Balance innovation with operational pragmatism, making trade‑offs that keep us fast today and scalable tomorrow.
Background
  • Proven experience as a Senior Product Manager working on AI‑enabled products, ideally in creative, marketing or advertising technology, or complex platforms.
  • Experience driving products from 0 → 1 and 1 → n, ideally in environments with high ambiguity and rapid iteration.
  • Strong understanding of AI model behaviour, limitations, and opportunities, and how to design products that harness emerging capabilities responsibly.
  • Ability to structure complex problem spaces, simplify decisions, and create clarity for teams.
  • Strong product discovery skills: forming hypotheses, running experiments, gathering insight from users and data.
  • Experience working closely with cross‑functional partners, especially Engineering and Design.
  • Familiarity with creative ecosystems is a plus but not required.
You’ll Thrive Here If You
  • Are curious and adaptable, thriving on learning what’s new and applying it quickly.
  • Are a structured thinker, bringing order to fast‑moving, loosely defined spaces.
  • Are resilient and optimistic, seeing constraints as creative challenges.
  • Are commercially minded, connecting product vision that solves customer problems with business outcomes.
  • Are collaborative and communicative, building strong, trusting relationships across teams.
KPIs / Success Metrics
  • Adoption & Activation:
Growth in active users, usage of key workflows, or adoption of core platform capabilities.
  • User Value:
Positive feedback from creators, marketers, or internal teams on product quality, usefulness, and ease of integration.
  • Performance & Reliability:
Improvements in efficiency, speed, stability, or output quality for workflows or tools you own.
  • Scalability:
Contribution to frameworks, systems, or product foundations that empower other teams to build effectively.
  • Clarity & Alignment:
Clear documentation, roadmaps, and decision‑making that help teams move quickly and in sync.
  • Outcome Over Output:
Demonstrated impact on customer results, creative quality, or campaign performance through the products you develop.
Benefits
  • 25 days PTO plus public holidays; we operate a Flexible Time Off scheme.
  • Monthly stipend towards wellness, fitness, and learning and development.
  • Remote – work from anywhere in your home country.
  • Enhanced parental leave policies – whether you become a parent through birth, adoption or surrogacy.
  • Access to our Pencil office in The Shard, London for the UK team.
  • Flexible working hours.
