About the role
The Fin Ops team is expanding and seeking a Senior Dev Ops specialized Cloud to accelerate and drive transversal enablement of these capabilities through solution, practices and expertise
As a Senior Dev Ops in our Fin Ops team, you play a key role in the definition of the internal Fin Ops platform at IFC and be responsible for the integrations and evolutions of the platform, as well as associated automation and service delivery. The role emphasizes on cloud environments, integration and data manipulation, ensuring scalable, secure, and cost-effective deployment and management of our solutions and integrations.
You will play a key role in automating and optimizing our platform development activities, collaborating across various teams. You will work in active collaboration with your teammates, management, the Product Owner, the Fin Ops experts, and our partners across IT and Labs.
What you’ll do here:
Support the Fin Ops team as a Cloud Specialist in a multicloud environement
Collaborate with developers and business units to onboard and enable platform capabilities.
Implement and maintain comprehensive solutions across IT and business sectors, enhancing platform performance through Dev Ops best practices.
Propose, execute, and manage automation strategies for software development and deployment, utilizing CI/CD pipelines (Github) and infrastructure as code (Terraform).
Lead and validate proof-of-concept (POC) initiatives to prototype scalable deployment solutions.
Perform code reviews, provide mentoring, and guide the team, with a focus on Dev Ops skill enhancement for junior members.
Design and implement robust, secure, and flexible deployment solutions.
Independently manage and escalate software/system monitoring issues, as necessary.
Collaborate with data scientists and analysts to ensure data requirements are met through robust solutions.
Define and track key platform performance metrics to ensure proactive operational responses.
Prepare environment dashboards and manage alerts, reporting on health, usage, and availability.
Enable seamless multi-cloud/SaaS solution integrations and manage configurations.
Produce, review, and maintain architecture documentation, defining best practice frameworks and guidelines.
What you bring to the table:
Bachelor’s degree in computer science or a related field.
Experience and know-how of CI/CD best practices with tools such as Git Hub Actions
Technical leadership experience
6+ years of Dev Ops experience, with significant expertise in cloud environments (AWS essential, GCP and Azure preferred).
Strong Python programming skills and experience with serverless technologies.
Proficient with Docker and container orchestration platforms like Kubernetes/Openshift.
Experience designing ETL pipelines
Strong understanding of Dev Ops and observability best practices, including cost tracking and monitoring.
Competent in dashboard creation using tools like Power BI is a plus.
Capable of working collaboratively across infra, engineering, finance, and business teams.
For candidates located in Quebec, bilingualism is required considering the necessity to interact on a regular basis with English-speaking colleagues across the country.
No Canadian work experience required however must be eligible to work in Canada.
