E-commerce/Online Store Manager, Japan Market (Contract role)

This is a contract role, tentatively ending on the 30 June 2026.
Responsibilities:- Manage category pages and site navigation to create engaging customer experiences
- Plan and execute on-site merchandising for promotions and key sales periods
- Launch new product pages, ensuring accurate localization, content quality, and bug-free releases
- Analyze site performance and customer data to improve conversion and revenue
- Develop and run A/B tests and “test and learn” initiatives to optimize site experience
- Partner with cross-functional teams (site operations, UX, marketing, creative) to execute site updates
- Maintain accurate product data including navigation, search, copy, images, pricing, and cross-sells
- Conduct daily site checks to ensure products are live, accurate, and correctly displayed
- 3+ years of experience in e-commerce site merchandising or digital commerce
- Strong understanding of the Japan e-commerce landscape and customer shopping behavior
- Experience using analytics tools (e.g., Adobe Analytics or equivalent) and behavior tools (e.g., heatmaps)
- Data-driven mindset with strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Proficiency in both English and business-level Japanese is required to liaise effectively with Japanese-speaking stakeholders and to support cross-border collaboration as part of the role’s responsibilities.
