Principal Consultant – IT Specialist Supporting Start‑Ups to Large Scale Companies with Professionals Globally
Rate: £300 p/d inside IR35
Start: ASAP
Duration: 6 months initially

Cardiff with flexibility to work from home once trained
We are seeking an experienced Data centre Operator to join our client's team in Cardiff on an initial 6‑month contract. This role is central to ensuring our data centre operations run efficiently and securely, supporting key business systems and infrastructure services.
Responsibilities- Monitor and maintain systems within the data centre, responding to alerts and coordinating with vendors to resolve issues quickly.
- Manage batch processing, Control‑M scheduling, and weekend releases.
- Assist with physical data centre activities such as patrols, temperature checks, and system availability testing.
- Proven experience in data centre operations.
- Good knowledge of Linux or UNIX.
- Familiarity with Control‑M or similar scheduling tools.
- Proactive attitude, attention to detail, and ability to work independently within a 24/7 shift environment.
