This position is posted by Jobgether on behalf of a partner company. We are currently looking for a Senior Subject Matter Expert - REMOTE. In this role, you will leverage your extensive cybersecurity expertise to support the design and integration of Zero Trust capabilities within enterprise environments. You will play a pivotal role in aligning security architecture and modernization initiatives with federal cybersecurity frameworks.
Your guidance will be crucial in driving the organization's Zero Trust strategy forward and ensuring robust security measures are implemented across various platforms. Collaboration with multiple technical teams will be essential to achieve seamless integration of Zero Trust principles. Your contributions will directly impact the effectiveness and reliability of security practices at a significant scale.
- Serve as a senior Subject Matter Expert on Zero Trust architecture, strategy, and implementation across enterprise environments.
- Conduct architecture reviews, technical assessments, and security engineering evaluations in support of Zero Trust adoption.
- Advise on alignment with federal cybersecurity requirements, including NIST guidance and OMB Zero Trust directives.
- Collaborate closely with network, cloud, cybersecurity, and identity management teams to guide integration of Zero Trust capabilities.
- Provide expert recommendations on segmentation, identity governance, continuous authentication, and policy enforcement.
- Support the development of technical documentation, roadmaps, standards, and implementation plans.
- Participate in stakeholder and leadership briefings to communicate Zero Trust progress and risk considerations.
- Perform other related duties as assigned.
- Must be a US citizen with an active Public Trust (MBI) clearance.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical discipline.
- 10+ years of professional experience in IT and/or cybersecurity.
- Active CISSP certification.
- Preferred experience supporting federal government cybersecurity programs.
- Hands-on experience with Zero Trust technologies (e.g., identity federation, micro‑segmentation, network access control).
- Knowledge of NIST SP 800‑207, NIST RMF, and related federal cybersecurity guidance.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to advise technical and non-technical stakeholders.
