This role impacts system performance, security, and integrity by overseeing installation, configuration, and maintenance. • Install, configure, and maintain MySQL databases.
• Tune database performance and execute backup and recovery strategies.
• Monitor database performance and proactively address issues.
• Implement security measures in compliance with standards.
• Collaborate with developers to optimize queries and improve database design.
• Lead database migration projects (on-prem to cloud/version upgrades).
• Define and implement best practices and automation initiatives.

• 5-8 years of experience in MySQL Database Administration.
• In-depth knowledge of MySQL versions 5.5, 5.6, 5.7, 8 and 8.4.
• Solid understanding of Unix/Linux system administration related to MySQL.
• Proficiency in writing complex shell scripts for automation.
• Good communication skills with technical and management teams.
• Experience in high-availability environments and automation.
