Project Manager - IT Infrastructure Deployment

Our client, a national enterprise organization, is seeking a skilled IT Infrastructure Project Manager to oversee the deployment and upgrade of their technological infrastructure. This hybrid role, based in Bloemfontein, Free State , requires a candidate with a strong technical background and excellent project management capabilities. You will be responsible for managing projects related to network upgrades, server deployments, cloud migrations, and data center enhancements.

The ideal candidate will possess a deep understanding of IT infrastructure components, a proven ability to manage complex technical projects, and excellent communication skills to coordinate with IT teams, vendors, and business stakeholders. This is a key role in ensuring the stability and scalability of the organization's IT systems.

• Plan, execute, and finalize IT infrastructure projects according to strict deadlines and within budget.
• Define project scope, goals, and deliverables in collaboration with senior management and stakeholders.
• Develop detailed project plans, schedules, and resource allocation strategies.
• Manage relationships with IT vendors, contractors, and internal technical teams.
• Ensure the successful deployment and integration of new IT infrastructure components.
• Identify, manage, and mitigate project risks and issues.
• Oversee the procurement of hardware, software, and services required for projects.
• Conduct regular project status meetings and provide comprehensive reports to management.

• A Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
• Minimum of 7 years of experience in IT project management, with a strong focus on infrastructure deployment.
• Proven experience managing projects involving network infrastructure, server administration, cloud technologies (AWS, Azure), and data center operations.
• Familiarity with ITIL best practices and methodologies.
• Project Management Professional (PMP) or PRINCE2 certification is highly desirable.
• Strong understanding of hardware, software, and telecommunications technologies.
• Excellent leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
• Experience working in Bloemfontein or the surrounding Free State region is a plus.
