Monday – Friday, 9am – 5pm

KHR is partnered with a well-established and highly respected legal practice in East Kent, seeking a Child Care Solicitor or Chartered Legal Executive to join their busy Family Department.

The successful candidate will be Children Panel Accredited, with strong advocacy skills and comprehensive experience in all aspects of children law.

• Represent clients in child care cases, including care and supervision orders, adoption, child protection, and custody disputes.
• Manage a varied caseload independently, including meetings with social services, court appearances, and drafting legal documents.
• Provide legal advice and representation in court proceedings, often across Kent and occasionally at the High Court in London.
• Advocate for the welfare of children, representing children, parents, guardians, and family members.
• Collaborate with the Children Guardian in court proceedings.

• Qualified solicitor or legal executive with Children Panel Accreditation.
• Strong advocacy skills and litigation experience in child care law.
• Ability to manage complex caseloads independently, including remote work when needed.
• Excellent client care skills, demonstrating empathy and professionalism.
• Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
• Excellent interpersonal skills.

Salary is competitive and depends on experience.

• Hybrid working: up to 2 days WFH per week after passing a 6-month probation.
