The RoleWe are looking to recruit a Child Care or Family Lawyer to join our established and supportive Care team.
This is an excellent opportunity for someone with experience in care, family legal aid and domestic abuse work who is looking to develop their career within a busy and well regarded team.
You will manage your own caseload of child care and family matters, covering both public and private law work. This will include care proceedings, domestic abuse matters and related hearings, with responsibility for advocacy where appropriate. You will provide clear, compassionate advice to clients and work closely with local authorities, social workers and other professionals throughout the life of each case.
Whatwe are looking for
- A qualified Solicitor/Lawyer at any level, including newly qualified through panel membership
- Experience in child care, family legal aid and or domestic abuse work
- Ability to manage your own caseload, with support where required
- Strong advocacy skills or a desire to develop these
- A compassionate and client focused approach
- LAASupervisor or Children Panel membership desirable but not essential.
- Willingness to apply for Children Panel membership if you are not already a member.
- Willingness to undertake marketing opportunities with local organisations to build and strengthen connections with referrers of work.
