Purpose StatementProvide effective direct and indirect leadership to the maintenance support and execution teams to deliver the ‘Asset Plan’.
Set and manage the multi-year maintenance budget, identifying opportunities to optimise and drive year-on-year savings. Develop synergies and cost saving opportunities with the other assets through contract optimisation.
Ensure robust maintenance programmes are in place and deliver execution of maintenance in line with the Work Management Process (WMP). Meet and measure performance against company metrics. Drive continuous improvement and efficiency in the execution of maintenance.
Contribute to meeting production targets by managing key equipment threats and vulnerabilities ensuring Safety and Environmentally Critical Equipment (SECE), and Business Critical Equipment (BCE), availability.
Role Deliverables and ResponsibilitiesEffective Leadership:
- Work closely with Offshore leadership to ensure maintenance is being carried out in an efficient manner, to the plan. Work collaboratively with other groups and teams to provide the maintenance team with sufficient support and resources to facilitate the execution of their tasks.
- Coordinate the plans and work of Job Responsible Engineers (JRE’s), and Site Responsible Position’s (SRP’s), ensuring integrated vendor led maintenance activity.
- Work with asset leadership to jointly achieve company targets with respect to ‘wrench time’. Identify and work with other teams to remove and reduce constraints, driving continuous improvement and efficiency gains.
Commercial Management:
- Set, agree and manage the maintenance budget. Ensure maintenance programmes are included in annual and long-range plans and fully supported by appropriate budget and resource requirements.
- With relevant teams, manage the establishment, maintenance and ongoing performance of contracts, to deliver the required support in the execution of maintenance, e.g., condition monitoring, valve maintenance, rotating equipment etc.
- For contracts ‘owned’ / managed within the maintenance team, work with the asset and Procurement Team to actively manage, measure and improve the performance of contracts.
Execution and Optimisation of Maintenance:
- Ensure both SECE (performance standard driven), and non-SECE maintenance strategies are current and complied with.
- Plan and manage all maintenance activities so that shutdown and the Integrated Activity Plan’s (IAP) are in compliance with the relevant gate criteria.
- Manage all maintenance activity through the Work Management Performance (WMP) process i.e., identification, preparation and scheduling, execution, close out.
- Measure performance and delivery against company and industry metrics on maintenance e.g., schedule attainment, compliance, backlog, deferred hours etc.
- Drive continuous improvement in the execution of maintenance e.g., develop plans to manage (reduce), and prioritise business critical backlog, manage the execution of SECE work that allows the correct balance between planned and corrective work, reduce the quantity of ‘breakdown work’ entering the 4W schedule, minimise repeat deferral of SECE work.
- Champion and implement ‘smart’ technology to drive efficiency within maintenance e.g., tablet report, on-line monitoring, rationalise systems etc.
Vulnerabilities:
- Identify and own key equipment vulnerabilities and, with support from other parts of the organisation, implement prioritised solutions to manage and reduce risk.
- Minimise the potential for breakdowns, unplanned outages etc., and promote plant availability / stability, by analysing and interpreting data gathered during maintenance activity.
Establishes and maintains a working culture in line with Company’s core values.
Is familiar with Company’s Leadership Expectations – clearly demonstrates their own capability in line…
